Nutritional Therapy at Prairie Hill Nutrition

What is Nutritional Therapy and

How you can benefit from it?

Nutritional Therapy is provided by a Nutritional Therapist certified to perform Functional Evaluations in order to make nutritional recommendations to balance body chemistry and achieve optimal wellness.  Nutritional Therapy provides an in depth look into the diet & lifestyle of clients, with a focus on balancing the 6 Foundations of health – Diet, Digestion, Blood Sugar Balance, Fatty Acid Balance, Mineral Balance, and Hydration.  Weaknesses in the Foundations lead to degenerative health problems that plague the modern world.  Bringing these six Foundations into balance through individualized diet & lifestyle changes (addressing food sensitivities, nutrient deficiencies, exercise...) can result in a reduction or elimination of many common symptoms and conditions.  Nutritional Therapy also considers other important factors for health outside the scope of nutritional therapy (electromagnetic, energetic, emotional, and structural).

As a Certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), I use several tools unique to Nutritional Therapy to answer three BIG questions for every client:  Is there a deficiency or imbalance?  Will a particular nutrient work for that client?  When is the client sufficient?  An Initial Interview, Food Journal, Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire, Functional Evaluation & Lingual-Neuro Testing provide the information I need to create a bio-individual nutritional recommendations program for you. I believe that somewhere inside of each client is the answer to every question that can be asked about them.  As a Nutritional Therapist, my concern is that I make that connection with that part of every client that knows the answers and that those answers be shared and used for the good of the client.

What I do not do:

As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I do not diagnose or treat disease.  I do not do lab testing or blood work (I can refer if needed) my basic goal is to encourage you to become knowledgeable about, and responsible for your own health.  Nutritional Therapy is designed to improve your health naturally through diet & lifestyle, but is not designed to treat any specific disease or medical condition.  There are other important factors outside of Nutritional Therapy to consider and I will be happy to refer you if necessary. (Electromagnetic, energetic, emotional, structural).
